Schalk Bezuidenhout

Schalk Bezuidenhout is a South African stand-up comedian, actor, and television personality known for his sharp observational humour, energetic storytelling, and signature afro-and-moustache look.

Born and raised in Kempton Park, Gauteng, he studied drama at the University of Cape Town before launching a successful comedy career in 2011.

Schalk gained national recognition after winning the Savanna Comics’ Choice Newcomer Award and later performing alongside comedians such as Trevor Noah.

He is also known for his roles in productions like “Hotel” and “Kanarie”, and has become one of South Africa’s most popular Afrikaans comedians and entertainers.
