The second eldest of three with his elder sister Karlien van Jaarsveld who also became a famous South African singer. Bobby started singing at the age of 14. After touring with Dozi, he signed a deal with Blackie Swart. In 2006 Theuns Jordaan offered him a recording contract with his company. Bobby was nominated as best new artist by the KKNK, Vonk, and Huisgenoot in 2006. After the release of “Wat Geld Nie Kan Koop Nie’ Bobby achieved platinum status in less than 2 weeks. He is now the owner of many awards including the famous Ghoema.
