Majozi

Majozi is a South African indie folk-pop singer-songwriter from Durban, known for his heartfelt lyrics, uplifting sound, and sincere storytelling.

A self-taught guitarist, he began making waves in the local music scene with his 2013 debut EP Marvelous Light before signing with Universal Music South Africa.

Blending folk, pop, and subtle electronic influences, Majozi gained national recognition with hits such as Fire, Darling, The Woods, and Waiting. His album Fire earned him a South African Music Award (SAMA) nomination for Best Adult Contemporary Album in 2017. Known for his warm stage presence and optimistic music, Majozi has become one of South Africa’s most loved contemporary singer-songwriters
