Jakkie Louw has been a professional South African Singer from 1998.
Studying B.Comm in Stellenbosch he started singing for the students and became a student sensation.
In 2002 he moved to Pretoria and sang at the popular student bars like Malony’s and Hatfield Square. Songs like “Rambo die Polisiehond”, “Bottel Tas” and “Drie Pikkewyne” came out in those years. Later he recorded the classic song cover of “Voshaarnooi” with his singing partner Kevin Leo. He later wrote and recorded his epic song “Een Miljoen woorde”.
Jakkie has been nominated for two SAMA awards. He won the “Geraas musiek toekenning” in 2006 for the best newcomer in SA. He has also been nominated for “Huisgenoot tempo toekennings” and starred in 5 movies like “Voshaarnooi” and “Die Spook van Uniondale”.
